Recently, the English monograph Acoustic Metamaterials: Asymmetric Transmission, Focusing, and Asymmetric Focusing, authored by the research team led by Professor Sun Hongxiang from our school, has been officially published by Springer Nature, a world-renowned academic publishing group, and simultaneously released globally in both online and offline formats. The book has been included in Springer's book series "Microfluidics and Nanophotonics: Science and Engineering".

Based on the team's in-depth research in the field of acoustic metamaterials over more than a decade, this monograph systematically elaborates on the physical mechanisms and regulation methods of acoustic asymmetric transmission, acoustic focusing, and acoustic asymmetric focusing, constructing a complete research system from basic theory to practical applications. Comprising 10 chapters and 371 pages, the book focuses on explaining fundamental principles such as the interference theory of acoustic metamaterials, effective medium theory, and generalized Snell's law. It details the design methods of various innovative structures, including underwater plate-like metamaterials, ring-shaped metamaterials, and phase-controlled metamaterials, and systematically explores their application prospects in fields such as medical ultrasound, underwater detection, and acoustic communication. In particular, it conducts an in-depth analysis of key technical pathways such as three-dimensional acoustic field regulation and subwavelength acoustic focusing. The book also systematically summarizes and prospects the latest research progress in the field of acoustic metamaterials, with special attention to cutting-edge directions such as broadband acoustic devices and intelligent design methods, providing an important reference for scholars in physics, acoustics, biomedicine, and other related fields.
With a 180-year history, Springer Nature is the world's largest academic book publisher, renowned in the academic community for its rigorous academic attitude and high-quality publishing standards. Its portfolio includes numerous top-tier academic journals such as Nature, and more than 200 Nobel Prize and Fields Medal laureates have chosen to publish their research findings through Springer. The publisher is regarded as a crucial platform for the presentation and exchange of global scientific research achievements.
